Cheshire Merit Qualifiers. After a fine evening's bowling at Cherry Grove, Rob O'Shea and David Owen came through as qualifiers for this year's Cheshire Merit Finals. Congratulations and best of luck at Christleton in June ****************************** I have been asked to clarify some perhaps not too clear bits about the Len Hales and Bert Scott League Comps to be hosted by Mancot BC. Len Hales entry is £5 per pair. This is, of course, quite mad. But this Comp has not run for some time, so the Mancot Club agreed to a sort of TESCO loss-leader fee....... Look at other entry fees, and give your support to Mancot and our League. (The handbook says £8. The actual fee is £5 for reason just mentioned.) Where phasing is mentioned, it is simply a way to try to avoid undue waiting around, The first 16 drawn will be notified before the event. Other drawn players will not be notified, but will play on the second phase. WILL ENTRANTS FOR BOTH COMPS PLEASE INCLUDE PHONE NUMBER. Please note also that players drawn but not present when called will be scratched.

Because of the number of teams entering the Eldridge Cup, there will be no need for any prelims. Therefore the Cup will start on Thurs 15 May as in the Handbook. The draw has been done, and Cub secretaries should receive flyers with opponents and venues very soon.
